Lovely friends –
It has been a long, crowded, hot summer full of projects and tantrums and giggles and growth. We have added six chickens to our family. Fable has added dozens of words to her vocabulary, including orange, but not including red, green, or blue. I got to officiate not one but two beautiful weddings. We’ve gutted and rebuilt a room of our home, visited friends and family, and generally had a lovely time. And I’ve missed you. And it is my absolute joy today to welcome you back to GOC with the reveal of one of our summer projects, of which I am incredibly proud, and a fantastic giveaway for you. Yay fall!
I’ve come to love my friends at Catbird Baby this year – loved working with them and learning about the carrier industry, loved their creativity and the way they welcomed me and embraced what I can contribute. Last June, Beth and Nicole flew up to Portland, and together with my gorgeous friend Liz of Fishgate Films, a few friends, and this lovely city, we made The Catbird Seat, which has become one of my very favorite things. I’m so glad to finally share it with you!!!
Catbird Baby makes a fantastic couple of carriers, and they have such a heart for families and babies and safety and connection. It has been my privilege to work with them, to use their wonderful product to carry my girl, and now, to share it with you! Catbird Baby has generously offered one winner their choice of the carriers featured in The Catbird Seat. You can choose the Catbird Baby Mei Tai in Sunset or the Annika print, or the Catbird Baby Pikkolo in Zephyr Gray or Georgia print.
Both of these carriers offer four positions (front facing in, front facing out, hip, and high back carries) and both are fabulous for babes 8-40 lbs with no infant insert necessary (YAY! I hate me an infant insert.) Either one would be a fantastic addition to your existing carrier collection, or a wonderful first or only carrier for families just getting started with babywearing. You also get my help making sure you are completely hooked up with all the tutorials and answers you need to make sure you’re using your new carrier well (you sort of already have that and can email me anytime, but hey, free carrier!!)
Details on how to enter are below! If you need help choosing, well, you know where to find me! A winner will be chosen and contacted on Saturday!
Psssst… want to double your chance to win? Head over to the Catbird Baby blog and enter their giveaway too!
Awe! I’m literally crying after watching that! ThAnks! 😉
These Catbird carriers sound amazing! I can’t wait to look them up. I’d choose the back carrier because my boy is the heaviest it gets!
i looooove the mei tai in sunset! totally excited about this giveaway. 🙂
I’d get the sunset mai tai. I’ve never tried a MT before – I’m more of a wrapper – and that color is perfect for autumn! We have a pikkolo but I’ve never gotten the hang of it. This post inspired me to give it another try.
Love me some Sunset Mai Tai yo. Gorgeous color
Awesome giveaway!! I am pregnant with my third and my second will only be 16 months when the baby is born so I see a lot of baby wearing in my future.
Sounds like an absolutely fabulous summer, but happy to know some new reads are coming up soon on the site!
I like the Summerweight Organic Moss Mei Tai
love the catbird baby pikkolo in Georgia! Looks comfortable, and cute! Baby wearing is helpful when doing household chores and shopping!
Love the video! And love these carriers as well! Would choose the mei tai in sunset.
I have been looking for a carrier that isn’t bulky and is really comfortable for baby. After looking at the video and checking out the website, the catbird baby pikkolo meets both of these qualities. The Zephyr and Georgia prints are gorgeous! Fresh, fashionable and convenient. Love love love!
How fun! That video is so great! I would love the mei tie in sunset, such a statement piece!
Ooh, I love that orange
The catbird baby mei tei looks so comfortable.
… Ive tried on and have significantly noticed the difference between carriers that support babies legs up and ones that dont. That coupled with the easyness of putting it on and having your baby tight against you…there’s nothing better. For you or your baby.
I would love to win!! Id choose the catbird Baby Pikkolo in Zephyr Gray
I love the video and love the passion brought to life!
Such a beautiful video! Would love to try a Mai tai
This mei-tai looks like it would be perfect to have on hand for runs to the store when I would usually rebozo, but don’t want to deal with Mr. grabby-hands. What a fun collaboration. Do you think the color of your cRrier has influenced your LO’s vocabulary?
MAYBE! I never thought of that. Whaddaya know. Powerful stuff! 😉
Wow!! That video was beautiful!! I especially love the carrier that Karyn was wearing, such a fun color 🙂
Love this! Such an awesome video 🙂
Great video! Would love to try one and share with my expecting sil 🙂
Oh, oh, oh! Zephyr Pikkolo! Very excited about this giveaway. 🙂
I love this video 🙂 I would love to try the pikkolo in the georgia print!
I would totally pick the Annika mei tai. I have a Infantino mei tai that I love and I’ve heard lots of good things about Catbird! I would love to try one out! Plus if I won one, I could pass along my Infantino to another mom!
I’d choose the Zephyr pikkolo.
I love how you are able to interact with Fable in the video! Her reaching to touch the roses just kills me!
You’re so lovely for sharing babywearing with so many others.
I am not quite sure which one I would pick as I would need to figure which one would best suit my friend. She has twins, one with a heart defect, and I would love for her to start babywearing. This would be the perfect way for that to happen.
So excited for the giveaway.
Also, you and Fabes were gorgeous as always. 🙂
Can’t decide between the Zephyr Pikkolo or the Moss Mei Tai. I guess the mei tai since I have an SSC on the way.
Love it! Also, too funny: another mom friend posted yesterday about her daughter’s vocabulary, which includes orange but excludes all other colors. Hm.
What is the deal with orange? Someone research this, please. 😉
yayyy!!! it turned out so great you guys.
Love the Georgia and way to represesnt PDX!
These look amazing! Especially with baby gettting bigger, carrying on the back would be so nice.
I love the Pikkolo in Zephyr. I recently learned about the dangers that some carriers can cause, so I love that the catbird has the babies seated in a safe position. I also love all of the colors that they come in!
I would love to get a mei tai in annika. It looks amazingly ccomfortable. I haven’t tried a mei tai yet and would love to do so with such a beauty.
The Georgia Pikkolo looks great!
oh Karyn, I love it!! Yay!!
Oh and I choose grey, because I love anything grey 🙂
I’m having my first and he’s a boy! I’d be happy to have any of these–how would I ever choose?!
I’d chose the mei tai in sunset. =)
I love the Annika print. I’ve never tried a mei tai but I’m wildly curious about it; I think it might work well for my husband.
i would love the Mei Tai in Annika! So beautiful! I’m a beginning babywearer and have heard great things about MTs!
That was such a lovely video! I especially enjoyed Fable’s cameo 🙂
I’d pick Zephyr Gray because it would be a great neutral that even the hubby could wear 🙂
Fantastic!
I would choose Georgia Pikkolo–so cute!
Oh these look beautiful. If I was to choose I would go for the Astoria Mei Tai, not only does it look lovely, I think it would support my lower back really well. Would love to try one out!
Mei Tai in Sunset cuz yay autumn!
im expecting my first – this would be awesome!!
The Annika in plum is divine! Your video is awesome, too! 😉
I would get the zephyr gray one since one of my little guy’s middle names is Grey. They look amazing!!!Love love love the video too!
Definitely the Mei Tai! I’ve been wanting to get one 🙂
I have number two on the way!
The Annika mei tai would be my choice because I miss having a simple carrier with simple straps.
How cool ☺️ I have a friend due in November and she’s new to the babywearing world. I would love to gift her one of these awesome carriers! ❤️
Love this! The sunset is beautiful!
I would definitely do the sunset Mei tai because I would love to try a Mei tai! Thank you for sharing I have been curious about the video you were working on for quite some time now 🙂
Hugs
Pikkolo in Georgia because one can never have too many carriers 🙂
Such a great video and the color is so perfectly Fall!
Pass the tissues please! I would love either! I love that the base is adjustable on the one…and I also love mei tais and I want to try yours as your straps are longer for my fluffy bod.
I’ve never heard of this brand before but their product is beautiful!
Love the video! I would choose the baby pikkolo in Zephyr gray to give to a close friend who is expecting early February.
And such lovely & genuine marketing. I loved that video.
The Zephyr Gray is a daddy-friendly color too! I would choose that one.
Such a beautiful video. Left me with happy emotions!
I would choose the Mei Tie because it looks so cozy on you guys, and I haven’t tried one before.
Love the Sunset Mei Tai!
Aww, Karyn you and Fabes are too cute! 🙂 I would love to try this gorgeous mei tai! Good work. 🙂
Your sage baby wearing advice has been a sanity saver for me and now your a comedian too!
Love the Sunset MT!
Such a fun giveaway. And that video was really sweet to watch
Beautiful, as always my friend! My favorite part is I know that the fun little trip around town wasn’t just for the commercial…I’m sure you and Fabes get time like that all the time ♡
What beautiful carriers! I would love to add this to my arsenal for our first babe due in January!
Sounds like you had a fantastic summer leading into a equally amazing fall! Can’t wait to try a carrier. Looks so great, and just what I need to round out my collection! Thanks for sharing!!!
What a beautiful film! Thanks for sharing with us. I love the Pikkolo Georgia print, but I think the Zephyr would suit us best since it has the lovely hood for sleepyheads. My 17-mo old and I love the back carry for strolling around town and for those afternoons she just wants to be in my arms but I need to be making our dinner.
Amazing!
I love the georgia piccolo!
I love these! I’d like the mei tai, is the Annika too girly for my boys? I like the sunset too 🙂
I know I already commented, but having watched the video again, and re-reading your tutorials on the back-carry for the MT, I think I’d prefer the MT in sunset (should fortune shine down on me and my little one :). I love that you can carry Fable up nice and high with the MT; my Beco Gemini doesn’t allow for a higher back carry like that, and I think Helene would love being in the Catbird seat like your darling Fable. 🙂
What a sweet video!
I love the sunset carrier the best, and the video was beyond beautiful. Just perfect. Yay for sunshine, babies, and flowers!!
Catbird Baby Mei Tai in Sunset definitely! My boys, Jamison and Shepard, would love it! I bet the hubby would even wear this one! Excited for this giveaway!
I would choose the Catbird Baby Mei Tai in the Annika print – we have our 2nd little coming in November, and I’d love to be able for both me and hubby to wear our kiddos (we have one Mei Tai already) to go on family walks or outings. Print because prints are just more fun, I think 🙂 And hooray for not needing an infant insert! Planning on wearing #2 quite a bit, but it’s hot here in So Cal, so the less material on me, the better for keeping us both comfortably cool.
The color of the sunset catbird mei tai is to die for! What a perfect fall carrier. You two looked great in the video!
The Georgia Pikkolo looks fabulous! I love wearing my little one and I love how flexible and adaptable this one appears!
The Sunset Mei Tai is beautiful! I love that the weather is finally cooperating so that we can get out and walk more and wearing my boy is the best way to do it!
I love the color of the Georgia pikkolo.
I’ve everything about the Pikkolo in Zephyr Gray! Would love to be able to have a 4 position carrier as my little one likes to face outward. Thanks for the chance to win!
Astoria Pikkolo FTW!! Love this giveaway, thanks!
I am due with my second and would love to babywear–something I have no experience with as I didn’t do it with my first.
Karyn, you and Fable are so beautiful in the video! What a cool project. I cannot resist the Sunset Mai Tai. xoxo
Love the sunset MT
That sunset mei tia is a stunner!
Beautiful video! I’ve been following your blog for awhile but this is my first comment. You have an incredible talent for writing and your words always bring tears to my eyes. I gave birth to my first in December and, as you know, my whole life has changed. 🙂 As for the giveaway, I would choose the Pikkolo because structured carriers seem easier to figure out, (although I do want to learn more about woven warps!) and the Georgia print because I love color!
I love this video!
Super excited about this! Not sure which I’d pick-I’d need some help 🙂
So beautiful & love the carrier. <3
Whoops, forgot to mention the Apriana pikkolo carrier is to die for.
It’s such a hard decision, but I would go with the Mai Tai because I haven’t tried one before and hear they are fantastic!
Such a cute video, that little babe looks so comfy in the back carry!
Just lovely! Mei tei looks sweet.
I’m pretty sure I’d let the Girl herself choose for me because STYLE. She has it.
Beautiful! Love this.

So lovely!! I’m sold.
I’d love to try the pikkolo in zephyr gray! They look so comfortable!
The subset mei tai looks like it has wrap straps… If it does, I’d want to try that one!
I like the Summerweight Organic Moss Mei Tai.

I like the Georgia pikkolo because of the design and 4 carrying positions
I love this article!! Awesome giveaway
I love these! I’d like the mei tai or the sunset!
These catbird carriers look really nice and light and I love the orange color. This video is precious and really shows the joy of babywearing for both baby and parents.
I would love to have the Metropolitan pikkolo carrier. It looks very easy to use! The memory foam straps sound wonderful.
My first carrier that worked for me was a CatBirdBaby Pikkolo! Love ❤️
I would choose the Pikkolo in Zephyr Gray because I love the style and color and could use it for both a boy or a girl.

The mei tai in sunset is adorable! I love babywearing using my ring sling but this would be great to try!
Great video! Would love the mei tai in sunset, so cheerful!
Congrats on the collaboration and thanks for the opportunity of a giveaway! Our go-to is a ring sling. Sometimes my little girl won’t tolerate multiple passes with a woven. Would love to have the sunset mei tai as another option for quick ups.
I would love the Annika one, because I love the colors and these look so much more comfortable than some of the others i’ve seen and tried out.
oh goodness! that video is so sweet! I love, love it! And the carriers look fabulous!
I would get the Georgia pikkolo, I love the color and the design.
I would pick the sunset orange color, my son would look so cute in it!
I’d choose Georgia because I love the print.

Yaaaaaaaay! Thank you so much for sharing this with us Karyn! I adore this video and I love seeing you and Fable doing this together.
Even though I know it was an exhausting day, it makes me tear up every time I watch it. You are both so beautiful! <3
